Through a variety of local and global mission and outreach we seek to make Christ known. We care for others and we care for each other.

We make a concerted effort to participate in both local and global mission work...

Deacon's Pantry: Our Deacons have maintained a food pantry for over 30 years to feed people in need of food and toiletries.

Good Neighbors: This organization helps needy or displaced people with household goods, clothing and food. We provide a drop off spot for donations and have supported this program in many other ways since the 1970's.

"Partnership for a Stronger Community": We are partnered with the adjacent elementary school to help the students in several ways - we provide mittens and hats, school supplies, teacher supplies, funds for uniforms and food for needy families whose children attend the school.

Free family-friendly movies: In the summer we show outdoor movies and provide popcorn and beverages for the surrounding community.

Hope Homes: This organization provides housing and residential services to people with developmental disabilities or other special needs. We've adopted a Hope Home which houses four mentally challenged residents. We make sure each resident has a birthday cake and gift and provide other things as needed.

Firestone Park Preschool: Our church owned and operated preschool provides skills and values to children at an affordable cost.

Christmas Families Program: Each year we provide gifts and food baskets to several families from the surrounding community.

Care Team: These members visit sick and shut-in members at home and in the hospital and provide attention to the members who need it in a variety of ways.

Alcoholics Anonymous: We are home to a large Alcoholics Anonymous group which meets on Friday evenings.

Teenage Parenting Group: This group, which is an offshoot of Summit County Family Services, teaches teens parenting and life skills. We donate space for them to meet twice per month.

C.I.A. youth group: Our teens are busy and their leaders energetic and imaginative! Activities range from fun outings and helping at church events to a yearly mission trip.

Hartville Migrant Ministry: Members of our church were instrumental in the conception of this wonderful ministry which supplies household items and clothing to the migrant workers who work on area farms each summer.

The Catholic Worker: This organization provides free meals at their facility to those in need in the community. Our church helps by donating excess food and beverages leftover from our many dinners.

Wednesdays With Wanda: A mid-morning bible study for women enriches all who participate. Once each month, the group provides fruit and snacks for families who have loved ones at the local hospice facility.

Evening bible studies: Bible studies are held on a variety of subjects and are open to anyone. Call the office for day, time and topic information.

McGilvary College of Divinity: We support this seminary in Chiang Mai,Thailand with funds to be used toward scholarships.

Other global missions: Through our Acts 16:5 initiative group, our church participates in a global mission each year during Lent. Among others, we've raised monies for wells in Darfur and for programs to eliminate human slavery around the world.
